How it all started...
For as long as I can remember my mom, my sister and I cooked and baked as a way of connecting with each other as well as to bring joy to our friends and family. My mom's chocolate chip cookies have been a highly requested item for a long time and I decided one day to take that passed down recipe and see what all I could do with it...now here we are continuing to pass on the joy one sweet at a time!
As far as how the business side of Hey Suga' Sweets came to be, I am currently 13 years deep into my respiratory therapy career and I was curious about ways to grow our family vacation fund OUTSIDE of healthcare...I was also feeling this desire to start a business of my own so I started thinking about what I would enjoy doing that could also help generate that income. It's a well known fact about me that feeding people is almost a love language for me. It truly brings me joy to see that what I baked brought smiles to my loved ones faces so I knew I wanted to go down that path. After experimenting with my mom's famous cookie recipe I decided to dive in with the cookie side of Hey Suga' Sweets...the orders started rolling in so we officially launched Hey Suga' Sweets on June 6th 2024!
That's how Hey Suga' Sweets was created!
